The Leadership Team of Church in the City has prayed and determined that the following objectives will be set for the coming year.
A – All hands on deck – Invite all who attend CITC to participate fully in the life of the Body
B – Build the foundation – Focus on spiritual development of the youngest among us
C – Continue in the Spirit – Intentionally nurture growth and maturity through Holy Spirit’s power
There is still time to be a part of our Spa Day on Saturday, October 15, from 1:30 to 4:30. This year, we are excited to host the women from Teen Challenge at Spa Day. This is a special opportunity for CITC to raise and lift up women who may not have fully encountered the love of Jesus in their lives. Many hands make light work, so please contact the office if you are able to volunteer for gift bag assembly, hospitality, manicures or set-up/takedown.
All who consider Church in the City to be their home church are strongly encouraged to come to our Annual Business Meeting on October 19th at 6:30 PM . Not only will we be voting on the incoming Deacons and Elders but the current Leadership Team will be sharing the direction they feel God is leading us. This is a time to both celebrate the amazing things God had done though our congregation and unite in joyful expectation for what he will do in the future. All current members of CITC are welcome to vote. If you are unable to attend and would like to vote, please contact the church office at 414-961-1122 or email@example.com. However, we are required to have a quorum of members in attendance so if it is at all possible for you to attend in person, please do so.
The Church in the City Staff, Pastor Dave Duncan and Administrative Assistant Marcia Hall, will be on vacations sporadically over the next several weeks, The office will have limited hours. If you need to contact us, please know that your email or voice mail will be returned as soon as possible.

As if that was not amazing enough, one of our teammates, Gabi, came in 2nd place in the entire nation. Let’s all celebrate with our amazing kids, their parents and coaches. You all did an amazing job.

The Downer Ave Bike Race is an international professional bike race that literally circles our building every year. For close to 20 years CITC has participated in this event by giving away water bottles, opening up our doors for people to use the rest rooms and having a place for the kids to play. This outreach is a great opportunity for us to meet our neighbors but we need your help. Soon you will find sign-up sheets in the lobby for one-hour volunteer slots. We will need volunteers willing to sit at tables scattered along the race route to hand out water bottles, people to be in the building keeping the bathrooms clean and stocked as well as helpers to supervise the children’s areas outside on the lawn. For many, it is the highlight of our church summer events and can be an amazing community building experience. Please consider joining us for at least a few hours on that day. We usually need the most help from about 3 – 8 PM. For questions, contact the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 414-961-1122
If you or someone you know of in the CITC family is graduating this year, we would like to honor you in a service in June. Please contact the CITC office and we will let you know what you need to do.
